Hi all, I tried to change the registration on my 1929 "A" from VW 8797 to KT 713 (cos I like it) but the DVLA required to see the car, I took it along to the inspection dept. and because the examiner could not find a VIN plate or number to match the V5 he refused the change, any advice from the members? please The engine number did not match but that has been taken care of, it seems I have a big Canadian engine No. CA51951 and not the 2.2 Litre as shown on the V5 so eventually that will have to be changed on the V5 regards Les

bash a number out in aluminium plate, rivet it somewhere unsuspecting cover it with muck then "rediscover" it???

Thanks John the DVLA examiner b*****d took pictures of the car with bonnet up as proof there was nothing on it, but I have "discovered" the number stamped on the chassis under the floor near the battery mounting, "found" it when fitting a new battery so will try again later on, say a month or two. Les
