Complete novice here so I am likley to be posting lots of help needed posts over the coming months for jobs on my Model A pickup (Nov 1930 according to the chassis number).

The wiring diagram in the handbook says there is a dash light. No light on mine though. Hopefully its just the bulb gone. Is this just a case of unscrewing the 4 screws holding the instrument panel on to get to it or is it more involved than that?

Yes, as you say "Hopefully just the bulb". If you need to take the dash panel off disconnect the battery before you start-it's fairly tight behind the panel and adjacent to the fuel tank and filler cap. Yyou may find the dash lamp isn't even connected to a terminal . If there is a internal fault in the body of the dash lamp it may easier to but a new repro from suppliers than mess around with 80 year old corroded contacts etc.
